On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most important, how would you rate the importance of thinking? Not daydreaming, really think about a goal, thought, or God. The issue boils down to thinking is important, but we spend our time mindlessly entertained by facebook, emails, text, or TV. Typically, Americans leisurely spend over 2 hours a day on social media and 2.7 hours watching TV. The average America, according to the US Labor of Department, spends 17 minutes a day thinking. Social media and TV make up 20% of our day while only 1% is spent thinking. God has created us to be more than just mindless lumps of skin and bones. Today's encouraging word is meant to adjust our mindset toward the higher purposes of God. Colossians 3:“1Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things“
