Filling yourself with God's Word begins with study. So how do you study God's Word? Many Christians are lost when it comes to this effort. Basically, there are three main reason to study God's Word; struggling to know God, learning to recognize God's plan, and desiring to become a better Christian. Each of these reasons can naturally start with a topic, which can be found by Google or a topical concordance. Either type your topic into Google, asking for scriptures, or alphabetically look up your topic in a Bible concordance. Now get a Bible. Find the scriptures and read the chapter before as well as the chapter beyond – this will give some context. Humans are wired to remember stories, so find a story in the Bible concerning this topic using the same method above. Throughout the next few days remember the story and the topic, letting your mind wander over the scriptures. The encouraging word for today is found in 1 Corinthians 10:11, “Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come.” God wants us to use the stories to remember the Word. They are not just bedtime stories to kids, but a great way for all to study as well.

God bless you and keep you as you go and do life
