Ever heard the old saying, “You learn from experience?” Interestingly, we continue to make the same mistakes over and over again. If we learn from experience, then we should quit making the same mistakes. Learning from experience only promotes growth when evaluated for the lesson learned from it. Wistfully experiencing life, without evaluation, leads down the path to destruction. After any experience, whether good or bad, we ought to reflect and evaluate the lesson learned. Encouraging us today is the word from 1 Timothy 4:15. “Give your complete attention to these matters. Throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone will see your progress.” God's desire is for us to grow and thrive.
